We are proud to announce that this week's blog post features the well known Portsmouth Brewery! This local brewpub on 56 Market Street in downtown Portsmouth, NH serves more than just beer. To help expose the rest of what the Brewery has to offer we met with General Manager, Brennen Rumble.
What do you have in store for us for the first dish, Brennen?
Our famous Mussels! Order as a meal for yourself or to share with friends as an appetizer. A heaping bowl of fresh whole mussels steamed in our Blonde Ale broth with your choice of seasoning and served with toasted baguette for dipping.
This next dish is absolutely fantastic. What's in this that makes it so delicious?
This is the New York Strip Steak with Lobster. It's a chargrilled, center-cut New York strip served with chunks of lobster and a Smuttynose Star Island Single hollandaise. This is one of our weekly specials.
For the last dish we tried a Portsmouth Brewery favorite. Which menu item is this, Brennen?
Finally, we have the Hot Pastrami on Rye. It is made with house-cured beef brisket rubbed with molasses and spices, slow-smoked and piled high on marble rye with mustard, swiss cheese and sauerkraut.
We had a positively memorable experience while at the Portsmouth Brewery. The staff was very friendly, the food was amazing, and of course the beverages were very refreshing. The Portsmouth Brewery is perfect for many different occasions, from grabbing a cold beer to enjoying a full meal. We'll definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Don't miss out on the slideshow below because this week it is packed with a lot of great bonus photos. You know the Brewery for it's beer, but did you know that they also serve wine? Or how about the fact they have a secret outdoor deck not seen from the street? Check it out and learn more about the Portsmouth Brewery by stopping by at 56 Market Street or going to their website.
